Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Match Monkey websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Match Monkey (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who may use Match Monkey

The Service connects players, merchants (venue and asset owners), and coaches. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your account.

2. Accounts and authentication

You may sign in using email and password or supported third-party providers (such as Google, Facebook, Apple, or others we enable). Keep your credentials secure and notify us promptly at support@matchmonkey.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Bookings, payments, and fees

• Player bookings: When you reserve a court or asset, a hold may be placed until payment is completed within the time shown at checkout. Unpaid holds may be cancelled automatically.
• Open play hosting: Hosts pay the merchant first; after confirmation, they may create an open play listing. Joiners pay the host the published split amount.
• Merchant payments: Player payments may be collected by merchants directly. Platform fees and end-of-day settlement terms are disclosed in the merchant dashboard and may change with notice.
• Platform fees: We may charge service fees on hosting, bookings, and related sales as displayed before you confirm a transaction.

All amounts, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks are handled according to the checkout summary, merchant policies, and applicable law. We are not responsible for disputes between players, hosts, merchants, or coaches except where required by law.

4. Merchant and coach obligations

Merchants and coaches must provide accurate listings, maintain safe facilities, honor confirmed bookings, and comply with payout and verification requirements. We may suspend or remove accounts that fail verification, miss platform settlements, or violate these Terms.

5. Community and social features

The Service may include feeds, messaging, communities, badges, and gifts. You agree not to post unlawful, harassing, fraudulent, or infringing content; impersonate others; scrape or reverse engineer the Service; or interfere with other users’ experience. We may remove content or restrict features at our discretion.

6. Intellectual property

Match Monkey names, logos, software, and design elements are our property or our licensors’. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the Service.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, SPECIFIC BOOKING OUTCOMES, OR THE CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS. USE COURTS, EQUIPMENT, AND IN-PERSON MEETUPS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCH MONKEY AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or risk to the platform. Sections that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
